Snowman World Record Party at the Riesneralm
On 1 February 2020, a world record will be celebrated at the Riesneralm in Donnersbachwald. Until then you can join in the excitement!
At the end of November a unique project started at the foot of the Riesneralm ski area. In 40 days a 5-member team around initiator and project manager Gerhard Peer will build the world's largest snowman. With a diameter of 30 metres and a total height of 40 metres, the previous world record of 37.21 metres, which was set in the US state of Maine, is to be exceeded.
Anyone who would like to follow the construction of the snowman can experience this first hand on site or take a look at the giant around the clock via the specially installed snowman world record webcam. http://donnersbachwald.panomax.com
On February 1, 2020, the Guinness record will then be officially accepted before the open-air world record party starts at 3 pm. A record-breaking atmosphere is already provided for:
- Live music with "Die jungen Südsteirer"
- Light show and much more.
