For us, tourism is not just about creating economic value, but also about a conscious interplay between nature, culture, agriculture and social life. As part of our **Next Level** strategic initiative and the **Roadmap 2035 strategy for responsible tourism development**, we are actively shaping the future of the region. **Together with our partners**, we are developing guidelines and measures that bring together **ecological, social and economic responsibility** and support the development of Schladming-Dachstein as a high-quality year-round destination. This approach is reflected in many areas – from **mobility initiatives** and **regional cuisine** to **photovoltaic systems, heat recovery and renewable heating systems**, as well as other concrete measures implemented by businesses and partners across the region. The Schladming-Dachstein pleasure partners and projects such as Almkulinarik by Richard Rauch make regional cuisine accessible and highlight cooperation with local producers, restaurants and mountain huts.Certified businesses – including 17 businesses with the Austrian Ecolabel and 15 certified organic accommodation providers – meet defined criteria and are regularly inspected. More than 100 Urlaub am Bauernhof farms offer stays on working farms, with a focus on local agriculture and farming traditions.Together with service providers, partner communities and companies, we also implement concrete measures in the field of employment, including employer branding, the Benefit Card and Senior Talents.This is how Schladming-Dachstein brings together regional cuisine, accommodation options and joint projects and measures as part of its approach to responsible tourism development. As a tourism association, we implement concrete projects - from the Sunnseitn Trails to upcycling bags. Together with partners, we develop initiatives and solutions for guests and locals. Print runs are adjusted to the expected demand to help avoid unnecessary overproduction. **Our partner print shops** - ***Wallig printing company (Gröbming)*** - The first print shop in Styria (since 2010) with the Austrian Ecolabel and our reliable partner for over 10 years. - ***Druckhaus Rettenbacher* (Schladming)** - Our regional printing partner, using **resource-efficient technologies** in its print production. - ***Samson Druc*k (Salzburger Land)** - A printing company with a focus on **resource-efficient production**, including solutions based on the **Cradle to Cradle principle**. Our upcycling project Bag with a history -------------------- Old advertising banners were turned into trendy bags. Because: waste is not an option for us. We upcycled all the material from our outdoor advertising campaign instead of disposing of it. One simple but important measure is **correct waste separation** – and everyone can contribute. A standardised and easy-to-understand information sheet helps **hosts and guests in the region** correctly separate residual waste, plastic, glass, paper and organic waste.
