The tour

For this shared trail, which starts at the Hochalm, an old hiking trail was adapted. The varied root trail runs through a humpy forest, the course of which becomes somewhat steeper and faster towards the end.

Please be considerate of hikers and wildlife! Driving permitted from 08:00 - 18:00 o'clock.

Turn-by-turn directions
This flowing trail starts at the Hochalm and can be ideally integrated into the Reiteralm round as a downhill variant in combination with the Eiskar Trail. Since it is a shared trail, you should always consider the other riders as well. At the beginning the trail descends to the Eiskarhütte, where the single trail leads curvy down the meadow, past the Hochalm, into the forest. This short section is very technical and only passable for experts. Drivers who are not so sure about how to avoid this stretch simply descend the 30 m over the piste and turn left along the forest path. Now the route leads into the humpback forest and its idyllic moorland. The ride is fun along a not too difficult rooty forest path, which offers a lot of flow and variety. The wet spots are crossed by wooden footbridges, which are easy to drive for everyone. Once again you cross the forest road before another part of the trail. After a last short piece of meadow, the humpback forest trail ends at the Lena Alm or the Jagastüberl. The rest of the descent is like the Reiteralm round downhill on the Reiteralm road.
