20 years of Weißenbach Theater Days!
The small, fine festival in the cadastral municipality of Haus im Ennstal, which has just under 400 inhabitants, has developed over the years into a permanent fixture in theaterland steiermark. Like a municipal theater, we give people the opportunity to buy a subscription and go to the theater regularly. The program is also like a city theater. We present contemporary classics as well as premieres, comedies and plays for the whole family. This mix is what makes our theater so appealing and enables us to achieve an almost 100% occupancy rate.
184 national and international projects ranging from contemporary and classical theater to contemporary dance and performance were on the program. Around 1,100 artists were invited and we welcomed around 16,000 visitors.
The festival lasts 2 weeks and 9 different projects can be seen but one thing is certain: 8 brand new theater projects will be seen again and the program will be international. A mix of genres of the performing arts mentioned at the beginning.
After the beginnings in a black theater tent, the festival has long since found a permanent and weather-independent venue in the Wirtschaftshalle at Gsöllhof.
