Holiday is the most beautiful time in the year. Whatever you want to do in summer and/or in winter time, the staff of Freizeit-PSO is going to invite your friends, your family and you to have a fascinating and unique holiday in beautiful nature with multifaceted possibilities.
OUR PHILOSOPHY:
All people should have the same holiday and sports opportunities. This exactly is the main focus of our association. People with different disabilities, from palsies to amputations to the point of mentally handicap, should also have the chance to do sports and therefore to be equally integrated into our society. Fun, adventure and new friends are nice side effects.
Fellowship plays a minor role, it doesn`t matter if you are young, old, healthy or you have mental or physical disabilities, all are able and can use the same sports opportunities. This reflects the slogan “Nobody can do everything, some can do something, together we reach the goal”.
Through the possibility to do sports, one gets new physical experiences and through that the self confidence and concentration are furthered. To cross borders and to discover new opportunities, to make ones own moves in the snow, to touch the rock and to enjoy the nature, all these and many other things. All these things are permitted by the team of Freizeit-PSO. But how these location and sport activities look like?
FASCINATION WINTER SPORTS – SKIING HOLIDAY:
Skiing is possible for everybody. Either with a small or severe disability, with the right supports one learns the sense of curve, wind, snow and freedom. There are some simple aids and tricks to learn ski with disability. Persons, who need a wheel chair, can use different sit skis, which also save energy. The participant is sitting in a sit bucket very securely. But also for those, who ski in an upright position, there are many possibilities of support. Thus specifically trained ski instructors of Freizeit-PSO respond to the individual needs of each athlete. Out of this, they develop the best combination of technique and aids. Furthermore the strength will be individually encouraged and therefore also the self confidence and the fun of skiing are furthered.
FASCINATION SUMMER – ACTIVITY-HOLIDAY:
As soon as the winter is over, the anticipation of the first warm sunwaves, of the springtime and the hot summer is coming. “Action” - on the rock, in the water or in the mountains, this is the slogan of Freizeit-PSO also in the summer. Together with cooperation partners of the Schladming area, specifically trained pedagogues have developed a limitless adventure sports program.
