Forest theme path Mößna
střední Themed walks · Naturpark Sölktäler
The Mößna forest nature trail is a beautiful and easy circular walk through woods and meadows with views of the Großsölktal valley. At numerous stations along the route, interested visitors can gain exciting and informative insights into the forest habitat with its characteristic species communities (trees, flowering plants, lichens, mosses, insects, etc.), important forest functions, human forms of use and effects, as well as the geology and history of origin of today's Sölktäler cultural landscape.
The hike can generally take place in different directions, but due to the sequence of the information boards, a clockwise circular hike is recommended.
A visit to the beautifully situated Knallalm (1355 m) including a leisurely stop offers a simple and rewarding extension of the tour. Simply follow the markings to the Knallalm at the fork in the path at the highest point of the circular path (approx. 40 min, 1.5 km, 200 m altitude difference to the alpine pasture). The way back takes place on the ascent path to the fork in the path with the circular path. The Trogerhütte on the Knallalm is open from the beginning of June to the beginning of September, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Sundays.
Short, rewarding hike to the farmed Knallalm.
Visit to the historic trough mill with foam grinders and bread baking.
